I’m a Seattle-based data scientist and engineering leader. I’ve worked across retail, cloud computing, healthcare, and synthetic biology, building high-output technical teams and using data to shape product strategy.
Since 2013 I’ve worked in data science as both an individual contributor and a leader of data teams at companies including Nordstrom, AWS, Zymergen, and Ginkgo Bioworks. I’ve built recommendation systems, fraud detection, laboratory data automation, and the analytics infrastructure behind them.
I studied economics and evolutionary biology at Case Western Reserve University, then went to the University of Michigan for a master’s in biostatistics and a PhD in bioinformatics. My thesis characterized graph properties of large metabolic networks and tied them to physiological traits across species.
